Who am I?

The first news I came across in 2020 was about a Bollywood movie crossing 100 Cr mark. This happened when Pragun mentioned about a blog hop she was hosting based on Bollywood. The prompts were thoughtful but filmy. As an individual, I am filmy but my writing is not. That’s when I noticed this inseparable aspect of movies. In this post, the climax will reveal the identity of the protagonist, until then enjoy the suspense. Who am I? I am sweet but most of the time I am salty. Pls note, you have met me and you have liked me. I am feather-light, my figure is unique. You and I have watched many movies. In the park, by the lake or at home. You & your family prefer me to kill your boredom. I love your family, they are too filmy, That’s the reason I hang around with your family. Your mother turns 16, when she sees Shahrukh on screen Then you father quips, with some singing. ‘Aaane wala pal, jane wala hai’, says your father In response ‘ye kaha a

Change is Difficult, Gradual...

We  We all are aware that 'Çhange is Constant'. But, at the same time, Change is difficult and gradual. Most of us will agree. I would like to share an experience. While I was helping my child search for color papers, I came across a bookmark. The site of the bookmark made me happy beyond the boundary. This shows my love for books. Immediately, with the bookmark in my hand, I rushed to my reading area. I had to use the bookmark without any delay. However, my excitement vanished in no time. Wonder why? Currently, I am reading an e-book. This is my first e-book. A habit makes change difficult but, persistent attempts will gradually bring about change. Therefore, to bring about substantial impact, the change should become a habit. Remember, change is difficult, gradual, and at the same time Constant.

Happy Children's Day

Today, 14 November brings back old sweet memories. As a child, each day was amazing and fun-filled. Some standard restrictions had taught me to adapt and enjoy my child-life. Then, children's day was just like any other day filled with enjoyment.  Unfortunately, those days didn't last forever. Fortunately, children's day brings back sweet memories of those days.  As I recall I must admit that I am more than happy to be born in the pre-mobile era. Where, elders were my mentor, lots of friends and TV series were limited to a few hours a week. Bryan Adams once said ' those were the best days of my life'. Indeed, they were. Those days were the best, they have molded me to who I am, today! I wish every child has a funfilled day, close to people, close to nature, innocent, tension-free, peer pressure free childhood - today and every day. Happy Children's Day!     Childhood related reads- D istorted Shawods:  https://imnmore.blogspot.com/2015/10/dist

Dear Discounts

Dear Discount, I am happy to see you more often these days. You are becoming active with every passing day.  Your scale ranges from 10 % to 70 %. You are so attractive that shoppers just can't take their eyes off you. Is it traction or false attraction? To tell you the truth, heavy discounts were never a part of my growing years, until, recently. The competition has become fierce. Online services have changed the demand and supply pattern with induced buying. The need for products and services are created using every possible means. Socially & psychologically we are forced into this vicious cycle of purchase. If products can be sold at a 50 % discount, someone is baring the 50 % cost of it. Or is someone making 50 % loss/less profit? The game of discounts is addictive. It has one goal - generate as many bills as possible. Discounts also remind me of Enrique Iglesias song... You can run, you can hide, but you can't escape my trap (love) Hoping to see you so

Radha Krishna

Radha Krishna Charcoal Sketch   My first attempt to use a charcoal and a canvas. Unsure of the results, almost involuntarily I picked the canvas and charcoal. In few mins, the sketch was ready. To my surprise, it was good.  Is it Radha Krishna or by fluke? I, an amateur completed the sketch in no time, effortlessly. Love was in the air.... in retrospect, I guess I became a Gopi/Radha/Meera for a while. Radhe Radhe! Krishna Krishna!  Love fills you with happiness.  I am in love with the sketch - RadhaKrishna!

Eye for detail, a silly skill?

Specific skills are required for certain jobs. Eye for detail is one of the many skills required in my profession. How effectively I apply eye for detail skill at work maybe a question but, the habit to check minor details has become a way of life for me. Yes, it is...I can point out minor differences or mistakes. This skill has helped me identify camouflage insects, objects and emotions. This skill has helped me get rid of mosquitoes too...sounds silly but it protects me and my dear ones... Which skill do you make good use of, other than killing mosquitoes?
