The Time Theory

Time     These seconds, those days, that century.   Time    In the next moment, in the near future, and forever...   Time seems endless, way back in the past and in the future. But, what is time?   Is it just the rotation and revolution of earth?   May be yes, may be more....  For example year 2000 to 2025 and 2025 to 2026. Time is reborn, for you and for me.   Offering us opportunities, opportunities to change... Time = Change Change = improvements Improvements = Achievements Achievements = Happiness Happiness = More Happiness More Happiness = Bliss Isn't it? I wish you comprehend with this time theory... find more happiness. #Happynewyear

Matter that Matters

5 June is celebrated as World Environment Day. Does that matter? Maybe not at an individual level. But it matters to a few because, they understand the importance. It is one of the biggest annual events organized by the United Nations (UN) to generate awareness about environmental issues. Each year awareness is generated based on a theme that needs mass attention. 2021 theme is Reimagine, Recreate, Restore The day may not matter to you. Probably your actions are miniscule, they barely harm the environment – use of single-use plastic, wastage of some water, adding junk to landfills or vehicular emissions. Contrary to your miniscule actions over a period of few years have you ever tried alternatives that are eco-friendly? Have you tried to give back to nature? Have you contributed to the environment-friendly change? If yes, it matters to you. If no, it is a matter of concern. Natural resources are limited. Our irrational actions however small are adversely fast affectin...

No Less Than A Miracle

Have you ever had a job where you had no experience, no training, you weren’t allowed to quit and lives were at stake?  No? Welcome to Motherhood! We are too busy to realize that life doesn’t come with a manual, it comes with a mother. On Mother’s Day let’s find out what’s her tale…. within the walls of a home, facing new challenges, learning each day, gaining hands-on experience, and experimenting in new ways. Pacing fast or dead slow she relentlessly works at her new goals. Her deep desire is to perfect all three – her kids, herself, and her home. Her mind is always busy, her eyes vigilant, her heart full of emotions but she tries to strike a perfect balance.  She is the life changer every single day, it doesn’t matter whether she is perfect, because she is the best each day.  She doesn’t need experience nor training; she is a gift to the world and the reason for us being.

Someone Special

Someone special brings a smile to my face, tears in my eyes, fills my heart with joy and casts away my fears. Sounds like a dream? Sweet 16 talk? Or a scene from a romantic movie. Whatever, the case be, you want to experience such kind of moments again and again. A perfect moment. Far beyond our expectations, while we are too busy in our lives, working hard towards creating moments, craft happiness, life goes on. People come; people go. Isn't it? Some people become a part of our happy times and few a reason for those moments. How often do we appreciate their presence? How often are we thankful? How often do we reciprocate? How often do we remember them? A special person can be our parents, sibling, teacher, mentor, friend, co-worker or an unknown person, at some point in time they were there for us. They created special moments for us. It may not have been the same as in novels or movies, that doesn't mean they didn't exist. The problem is that our thoughts are influenced...

A Gift from the Past

A couple of days ago my mother was remembering her mother. She shared a number of instances bringing alive the era of the early 90s. Back then the number of siblings was never less than two. In some cases, they would be in double digits. More than nine kids around? A word best describes the scene at home – Chaos. Or complete chaos? Imagine the youngest crying for food and eldest pleading for sound sleep. The relation of the eldest with the youngest. The varied activities of every child - one crawling or trying to walk, another in school and the eldest preparing for higher studies. The early 90s as a parent seems mind-boggling. Though the culture of joint family prevailed it seems there was never an end to raising kids. As in the case of my grandparents, they had eight children, yes eight! By the time their youngest became a toddler the eldest became a parent. Which was then followed by the rest of their children. My grandmom after raising her kids raised her grandchildren. B...

A Veil of Illusion

2020 was a tough year for each one of us. It took away a lot but gave us time. Time to realize the importance of health, family & friends apart from money. We have become more health-conscious than before. We eat right, sleep well and, exercise too. Now we are fit and healthy than before. Aren’t we? This statement is true but not true at the same time. Our understanding of being healthy is a veil of illusion. Your BMI must be perfect, reports normal but it indicates that a part of you is healthy. You must be thinking, a part of me?   Yes, a part of you.  The health of an individual is the well-being of physical and mental health. Mental health is as important as physical health. It has been proven time and again but we choose to ignore – we love the veil of illusion. Actor Sushant Singh Rajput was physically fit but mentally??? There can be a number of reasons that lead to mental illness. It could be pre-existing or otherwise. Here, the reason for illness is secondary i...

I am a CHEATER

Yes! I am making a bold statement. It’s not easy. During the lockdown, when the world was suffering, nations prepared to face the catastrophe and mankind fought against the invisible, lethal enemy, we at individual-level got an opportunity. An opportunity to extend help, an opportunity to introspect, an opportunity to redefine our lives, an opportunity to weigh the importance of tangible Vs intangibles, an opportunity to improvise, an opportunity to confess. Well, on one of those days of mass suffering, I was preparing evening tea. The cyclonic wind made its way through the window, to the burning stove, and hit me before quickly disappearing. I continued with preparing tea. Added one, two, three, four, five, six teaspoons of sugar.  The sixth teaspoon screamed at me, “You are a cheater”.  During the pandemic, health has become a primary concern to me and I am sure to you too. I am aware that sugar adversely affects our immune system. So, I was added the r...

#LoveMumbaiTraffic

Sam, Indu, Krissh and I met through a carpool app. We carpool to work. Our office hours & location is the same. We work in a different organization but in the same business park. It’s been almost two years since we are pooling. I have noticed, with every passing year Mumbai traffic is becoming bad to worse, and so is the work pressure. It competes with the increasing Mumbai traffic. To beat the traffic we leave before traffic wakes up. But evenings are….. I have to mention about monsoon. Monsoons bring relief from the rising temperature but at the same time, it terrorizes us. Flooding, road closure and kilometers of jams. Sometimes I feel I spend my precious time in the traffic . And rest of the time I think I live my life in Mumbai traffic . Luckily, KIS (Krish, Indu, and Sam) keeps me entertained and going. I find my work-life balance in Mumbai traffic. Image courtesy Pixabay I work till 6 pm so does KIS. My office environment is vibrant and demanding. Thanks...

Happy Children's Day

Today, 14 November brings back old sweet memories. As a child, each day was amazing and fun-filled. Some standard restrictions had taught me to adapt and enjoy my child-life. Then, children's day was just like any other day filled with enjoyment.  Unfortunately, those days didn't last forever. Fortunately, children's day brings back sweet memories of those days.  As I recall I must admit that I am more than happy to be born in the pre-mobile era. Where, elders were my mentor, lots of friends and TV series were limited to a few hours a week. Bryan Adams once said ' those were the best days of my life'. Indeed, they were. Those days were the best, they have molded me to who I am, today! I wish every child has a fun-filled day, close to people, close to nature, innocent, tension-free, peer pressure free childhood - today and every day. Happy Children's Day!     Childhood related reads- D istorted Shawods:  https://imnmore.blogspot.com/2015/10/distorte...

Cool or not cool?

Being 'Cool' is so cool. Cool people are liked, admired and loved. I too want to be a cool dude just like the famous.... 😎 But, wait a minute. Were cool people born cool? Yes or may be not.  To be cool and continue to be cool is a matter of attitude. One doesn't need materialistic accessories, all you need is the right attitude! Cool?....Don't get fooled. 😵

In The World of Digits - Two Zero One Eight

We are born and surrounded by digits; we live in the world of digits. They give us hope, they give us pain. They play tricks and change the game. After results are declared, digits can change the future. At the month end digits as sales-figure matter. Digits… a way to gain and lose weight. Digits is also… days left, till we meet again. More the digits in bank account, luxury becomes affordable all around.  Increasing digits make you wise and sensible.  Without digit life seems impossible. In digits we lie (ten mins away). In digits we shine (99 %). In digits we measure success (30% pay raise). In digital we celebrate (1 st , 18 th , 50 th , 75 th  birthday). With digits we connect better (binary language). With digits we increase in numbers… As you read and realise the world of digits we live in; please make a note of upcoming ‘Two Zero One Eight’ (2018). Make resolutions, make the most of it. With new hope, energy and positiv...

When I Lost You

When I lost you, I was lost. Since then, life has been a catastrophe. I had expected it but, no amount of preparation prepared me to face it. Few more days, few more hours, and those three magical words; expectations haven’t come to an end to date; I fight with God every day. For the world, years hav e passed and memories have faded but my heart whimpers with each passing day. I lost you, to find…that you are so important to me, that I am so madly in love with you, that your love made me what I was and what I am today! I lost you but in me, you live today! In the way I act, in the manner I react, my thoughts guarded and decisions guided, it’s not me, it’s all you. Now I know…when I lost you, a part of me became you!
