Ignorance is bliss, it...truly is!

Early this week in morning before settling at work I thought of having a chocolate. Quickly I grabbed my purse and picked one of my favourites from a small pan shop right outside my office compound.

Work was usual and at good pace. Some important emails were sent with regards to an event. Some disappointments and some chit chat got me to the end of the day at work.

Boarded western local till Dadar. Usual faces around and a couple of new had filled the compartment. From Dadar western line I have to change to central line to reach home. Here too I came across known faces (TC, vendors on the footover bridge) while rest of the world rushed from one end to the other.

Met a friend at the central line after a long time. Discussed about the younger generation and some comments on life and people, got me faster than usual to my station.

The area I live in is like a village where you come across known faces most of the time. Today, unfortunately the autowala wasn't an known face and got caught in traffic for almost ten mins.

As I reached my destination, I realised something unusual had happened today.  I was horrified for few seconds. I went backward ....getting in the rick, railway station, ladies compartment, Dadar foot over bridge, western local, entire day at office and yes....there it is. The chocolate.

It was the chocolate, because of which I removed my purse from my handbag and completely forgot to keep it back in the handbag. I had travelled without valid ticket and without a paise for more than a hour. The 30 kms distance wherein  there were high chances of me getting into trouble were now ruled out. I borrowed money from watchman and the final hurdel was also crossed.

Ignorance was truly a bliss that day, as I could chat, play game and hire an auto home. It is an experience I will remember for years to come and may be laugh at my silliness.

On a serious note, life tries to teach us by making us face varied situations, through experiences. Its upto us which chapter we choose to learn from!

Who am I?

The first news I came across in 2020 was about a Bollywood movie crossing 100 Cr mark. This happened when Pragun mentioned about a blog hop she was hosting based on Bollywood. The prompts were thoughtful but filmy. As an individual, I am filmy but my writing is not. That’s when I noticed this inseparable aspect of movies. In this post, the climax will reveal the identity of the protagonist, until then enjoy the suspense. Who am I? I am sweet but most of the time I am salty. Pls note, you have met me and you have liked me. I am feather-light, my figure is unique. You and I have watched many movies. In the park, by the lake or at home. You & your family prefer me to kill your boredom. I love your family, they are too filmy, That’s the reason I hang around with your family. Your mother turns 16, when she sees Shahrukh on screen Then you father quips, with some singing. ‘Aaane wala pal, jane wala hai’, says your father In response ‘ye kaha a
