Have you ever had a job where you had no experience, no training, you weren’t allowed to quit and lives were at stake?  No? Welcome to Motherhood! We are too busy to realize that life doesn’t come with a manual, it comes with a mother. On Mother’s Day let’s find out what’s her tale…. within the walls of a home, facing new challenges, learning each day, gaining hands-on experience, and experimenting in new ways. Pacing fast or dead slow she relentlessly works at her new goals. Her deep desire is to perfect all three – her kids, herself, and her home. Her mind is always busy, her eyes vigilant, her heart full of emotions but she tries to strike a perfect balance.  She is the life changer every single day, it doesn’t matter whether she is perfect, because she is the best each day.  She doesn’t need experience nor training; she is a gift to the world and the reason for us being.

Someone special brings a smile to my face, tears in my eyes, fills my heart with joy and casts away my fears. Sounds like a dream? Sweet 16 talk? Or a scene from a romantic movie. Whatever, the case be, you want to experience such kind of moments again and again. A perfect moment. Far beyond our expectations, while we are too busy in our lives, working hard towards creating moments, craft happiness, life goes on. People come; people go. Isn't it? Some people become a part of our happy times and few a reason for those moments. How often do we appreciate their presence? How often are we thankful? How often do we reciprocate? How often do we remember them? A special person can be our parents, sibling, teacher, mentor, friend, co-worker or an unknown person, at some point in time they were there for us.  A couple of days ago my mother was remembering her mother. She shared a number of instances bringing alive the era of the early 90s. Back then the number of siblings was never less than two. In some cases, they would be in double digits. More than nine kids around? A word best describes the scene at home – Chaos. Or complete chaos? Imagine the youngest crying for food and eldest pleading for sound sleep. The relation of the eldest with the youngest. The varied activities of every child - one crawling or trying to walk, another in school and the eldest preparing for higher studies. The early 90s as a parent seems mind-boggling. Though the culture of joint family prevailed it seems there was never an end to raising kids. As in the case of my grandparents, they had eight children, yes eight! By the time their youngest became a toddler the eldest became a parent. Which was then followed by the rest of their children. My grandmom after raising her kids raised her grandchildren. Back

2020 was a tough year for each one of us. It took away a lot but gave us time. Time to realize the importance of health, family & friends apart from money.
