It is one of the biggest annual events organized by the United Nations (UN) to generate awareness about environmental issues. Each year awareness is generated based on a theme that needs mass attention. 2021 theme is Reimagine, Recreate, Restore The day may not matter to you. Probably your actions are miniscule, they barely harm the environment – use of single-use plastic, wastage of some water, adding junk to landfills or vehicular emissions. Contrary to your miniscule actions over a period of few years have you ever tried alternatives that are eco-friendly? Have you tried to give back to nature? Someone special brings a smile to my face, tears in my eyes, fills my heart with joy and casts away my fears. Sounds like a dream? Sweet 16 talk? Or a scene from a romantic movie. Whatever, the case be, you want to experience such kind of moments again and again. A perfect moment. Far beyond our expectations, while we are too busy in our lives, working hard towards creating moments, craft happiness, life goes on. People come; people go. Isn't it? Some people become a part of our happy times and few a reason for those moments. How often do we appreciate their presence? How often are we thankful? How often do we reciprocate? How often do we remember them? A special person can be our parents, sibling, teacher, mentor, friend, co-worker or an unknown person, at some point in time they were there for us. They created special moments for us. It may not have been the same as in novels or movies, that doesn't mean they didn't exist. The problem is that our thoughts are influenced

 Life is a series of little miracles, notice them. Anything that costs you your peace of mind is expensive. The dream was planted in your heart for some reason. Remember being happy doesn't mean have it all. It simply means youthat are thankful for all you have.

 A couple of days ago my mother was remembering her mother. She shared a number of instances bringing alive the era of the early 90s. Back then the number of siblings was never less than two. In some cases, they would be in double digits. More than nine kids around? A word best describes the scene at home – Chaos. Or complete chaos? Imagine the youngest crying for food and eldest pleading for sound sleep. The relation of the eldest with the youngest. The varied activities of every child - one crawling or trying to walk, another in school and the eldest preparing for higher studies. The early 90s as a parent seems mind-boggling. Though the culture of joint family prevailed it seems there was never an end to raising kids. As in the case of my grandparents, they had eight children, yes eight! By the time their youngest became a toddler the eldest became a parent. Which was then followed by the rest of their children. My grandmom after raising her kids raised her grandchildren. Back
